This week we were tasked with creating crayon boxes that would hold 8 crayons. One box had to be a basic box and the other was a more innovative box. To begin this project we took measurements of the dimensions of one crayon. Then we laid them down on graphing paper and arranged them in different shapes and took measurements. then we took the designs to illustrator. In illustrator we used the rulers, grid, pen tool, shape tool, and shape builder tool to recreate the designs. After we accomplished that we printed it out on glossy 11x17 paper and assembled it using glue sticks.
My plain box I created fit 2 rows of 4 crayons and allowed you to see the tops of the crayons.
My second box was a diamond shape that allowed you to see all of the crayons when you opened it
